Let me clarify my statement. While the Day of the Lord is the day of Lord's anger in 7 years tribulation, the Great Day of  God Almighty in Revelation 16:14, the great and terrible day of the Lord in Joel 2:31  is a single day event. They both speak of Jesus' physical return to Jerusalem. Whenever we see scripture emphasize the day of the Lord by adding the Great and terrible and dreadful in front of the day of the Lord, it speaks of a single day event which is Jesus returning to Jerusalem. The day of the Lord which is the day of the Lord's anger in 7 years tribulation will develop and intensify to become the Great and Terrible Day of the Lord which is Jesus' physical return to Jerusalem.
