"Continued from how long is the Day of the Lord"

Hi John and Doves,

2 Thessalonians 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand,

Some Christians believe the day of the Lord is a single day event. They equate the day of the Lord as Jesus' physical return to earth. But Paul refutes this thought. Paul told Thessalonians not to worry, nor troubled as the day of Christ is at hand. The day of Christ is the day of the Lord, Paul uses Christ to substitute the Lord here. If the day of the Lord is a single day event, and is the second coming of Jesus, Thessalonians should be happy that the day of the Lord has arrived, that they finally get to meet their Jesus. But instead, they worry that they are facing the day of the Lord. So, from Paul's message, we learn that the day of the Lord is not a single day event, rather, it is the entire 7 years tribulation which Thessalonians worried and troubled that  they were facing.

Scripture interprets scripture. Here's another proof by quoting Paul's letter.
