To be honest, we have all experienced prophetic egg on-our-faces!

But with all the usual caveats ...

We still wonder about those mysterious 1600 days in Revelation 14 that apparently end on a significant date that should eventually be understandable, if only we keep watching (Luke 21:36).

Or are we bored already???

Revelation 14:17Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. 18And another angel came out from the altar, the angel who has authority over the fire, and he called with a loud voice to the one who had the sharp sickle, “Put in your sickle and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, for its grapes are ripe.” 19So the angel swung his sickle across the earth and gathered the grape harvest of the earth and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood flowed from the winepress, as high as a horse’s bridle, for 1,600 stadia.^c

-- 1600 days (or "time-distance cycles," since a stadium was based on the circumference of the Roman chariot-racing track, while chariot horses in ancient Israel represented the power to wage war, and a bridle represented the charioteer's power to guide and restrain) from Shavuot Eve 2021 (tomorrow, this coming Sunday) = Yom Kippur 2025*. 

-- Which is to suggest that the Gaza invasion would suddenly escalate the death toll, probably because Hezbollah also starts attacking Israel from the north, overwhelming Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system. To which Israel would be obliged to retaliate to rocket attacks on at least two fronts, because there could also be missile attacks from the Houthi regime in Yemen and outposts in Syria, as well as from Gaza. Which leads to 1600 days of much bloodshed.

-- Because according to the rabbinic calendar, Yom Kippur 2025 begins in the evening of 

Wednesday

and ends in the evening of 

Thursday

October 2*.

If so**, the 1260 days of Revelation 12 would begin 

next Spring (the Firstfruit Harvest, around 5 April 2022) and conclude on Rosh Hashanah 2025 (the final Harvest), followed by 10 days of "bowls of wrath" that would conclude on Yom Kippur, 1600 days from tomorrow*.

Not that we know, but need to keep watching.

Luke 21:20“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. 21Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. 22For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. 24And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

25“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

29Then He spoke to them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. 30When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. 31So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. 32Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. 33Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

34“But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with [h]carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36Watch therefore, and pray always that you may [i]be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Luke 17:22Then He said to the disciples, “The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. 23And they will say to you, [h]‘Look here!’ or ‘Look there!’ Do not go after them or follow them. 24For as the lightning that flashes out of one part under heaven shines to the other part under heaven, so also the Son of Man will be in His day. 25But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. 26And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

31“In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his [i]goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. 32Remember Lot’s wife. 33Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. 34I tell you, in that night there will be two [j]men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left. 35Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left. 36[k]Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left.”

37And they answered and said to Him, “Where, Lord?”

So He said to them, “Wherever the corpse is, there will the eagles be gathered together.”

* Give or take a day, given Karaite/astronomical discrepancies.

** And if so, this might be an opportunity to take your money out of the stock market while it is still on a high.
