“And
ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars:see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must
come to pass,
but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom
against kingdom: and
there shall be famines and pestilences, and
earthquakes, in divers
places.
All these are the beginning of sorrows.”Matthew

INTRODUCTION
These
are some of the “signs” the Lord Jesus
told His disciples to “watch” for, just preceding His coming
to resurrect and
rapture His church and believing people to glory.Yea!Just preceding the time of “sorrows” upon the earth.
THE
LORD’S PROPHECY
Notice
that the Lord told His disciples “…..see that ye be not
troubled…...”But
how could anyone not be troubled when
they see these things coming to pass?Why then are the Lord’s disciples told not to be
troubled?Because
the pre-tribulation resurrection and
rapture is really going to happen, even if some knotheaded
“religionists”today
don’t want to believe it,1
Thessalonians 5:9.
Notice
the order given in this inspired prophecy of the
Lord.In 24:7,
the Lord explicitly prophesied,
“famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes” in that order.There are
many other “signs” the Lord told
His disciples to “watch” for in other Scripture passages.Most or many of
those “signs” have already
come to pass, or are happening right nowas I write.But
in this
particular prophesy, the Lord clearly told His disciplesthat
there would be
“FAMINES, pestilences, and earthquakes, in that exact order.
A
GLARING TRUTH
In
the 242 years of America’s existence as
a nation, this country has never known FAMINE.This country has always been “the land of plenty.”Even during the
bitter years of the Great
Depression, there was an abundance of food for the American
people.Back
then almost every family in a rural area
planted and raised a garden.Then the
wife or woman in the family “canned” the gatherings of the
harvest.Nearly
every family had fruitjars in their
pantry or cellar, filled with delicious food.No one went hungry.
But
times change!Today,
the average woman don’t even know what
a pressure cooker, used for canning, is, or what one looks
like.Most
people today DO NOT plant gardens.Just “too much
work.”They can
always run to WalMarts, or to the
local food store, and buy any or all of the food items they
want.Yes!Praise the Lord for His goodness upon mankind.
But
“Whoa,” wait a minute.What if it wasn’t
this way in this country, or other countries in the world?What if the
grocery stores were empty, or
even closed?What
would you and your
family do for food then?
“Oh,
that Preacher Riley is crazy!This is never going to happen in
America.”Oh,
is that so?Folks,
as I write the “spectre of famine” is
already on the horizon for America.What
do I mean?I’m
so glad you asked!
THE
REALITY OF THE TIMES
As
I write, there is a well known
man in America (whose name I do not choose to print in this
study), an
extremely wealthy man; a BILLIONAIRE, who has been “quietly”
buying up millions
of acres of farm land in this country, and he is still
buying.He pays
top prices for the land, and the
farmers who know about it, are eager to sell to him,
thinking he is making them
rich.This evil
man is not a corporate
farmer, and has no intention of planting crops and farming
the land.Further,
he has no intention of selling the
land to others, in order to make a profit.As stated, he is a BILLIONAIRE!He doesn’t need the money he might make from selling
the land to
others.He is
simply accumulating
America’s farm land.
Now
if the man doesn’t need the money, and
has no intention of farming the land himself, then why is he
buying it?
THE
NEW WORLD ORDER
Have
our readers ever heard of “The New
World Order?”This
BILLIONAIRE is deeply
involved in the New World Order.And
what is one of the goals of the New World Order?Population
reduction!They
want to reduce the population of the
earth by some four billion people.For
what purpose? In order to establish a one-world government,
ruled over by the men
they place in power.Their
reasoning is
that they can easily dictate to, feed, and control, about 4
to 5 billion
people.No
more!So at
this present time they are deliberately
creating FAMINE in countries all over the earth.The United States
of America is certainly
included in their plans.
These
millions of acres of farm land which
this man has bought, and is still buying, WILL NOT be used
to produce food for
the American people this year.It will
simply lay idle.A
massive food shortage
is staring America in the face.There
has not been really good food production on America’s farm
land in the past two
years, due to floods and climatic conditions.And there certainly won’t be any “bumper
crop” this year, especially with millions of acres of farm
land not even being
tilled or planted.So
without a good
crop in America for this third year in a row, what is to be
expected?The
Lord Jesus Himself called it
“FAMINE.”
Some
readers may think this is just not
so!Surely no
man is that evil!Oh no?Ask Adolph Hitler how evil a fallen man can become?These world
leaders who are part of the New
World Order, couldn’t care less about your baby or young
child crying and
begging for food.Doesn’t
the inspired
Word speak about those who “past
feeling;” who have given themselves over to fleshly
lusts?Sure it
does!Read it for yourself in Ephesians 4:17-19.
Dear
readers, there is no depth of
DEPRAVITY so low that some of fallen mankind will not go.A few months ago,
here in Missouri, a man was
arrested for raping his own three month old baby
daughter.The
baby girl was so internally injured that
she died.And
yet some who “profess” to
be “Christians” refuse to believe the Biblical doctrine of
the “total depravity”
of fallen mankind, Romans 5:12.

TO OUR TEXT
Our
text Scripture for this study clearly
states that there willbe FAMINES,
followed by PESTILENCES, then by EARTHQUAKES.
Just
yesterday on MSM it was reported,
along with photos, that this is the year of the Cicada.This is an insect;
a type of locust, whose eggs
have been in the ground for seventeen years.This year they are hatching out and coming forth;
billions of them
already showing up in many countries around the world.They make a loud
shrill noise, and eat
everything in sight.Will
they come to
America?I have
no idea.But
the Lord told His disciples there would
be PESTILENCES and here they are!
Finally,
the final “sign” the Lord gave to
His disciples was EARTHQUAKES in various places all over the
earth.Folks,
they are happening every day somewhere
on the earth.And
they are increasing in
both frequency and intensity.More often
and more deadly!Is
America next?Again,
I have no idea, but it is highly
possible.
THE
BLESSED HOPE
There
is no question that the Lord’s
disciples, who are faithfully “watching,” are going to SEE
these things
happening, yet the Lord Himself explicitly told His
disciples, “see that
ye be not troubled,” 24:6.
My
goodness!How
can we believers keep from
being troubled, with all these things going on around us
every day?
How?By seriously studying and believing what
God’s Word says and
promises to the true believer.We who
are true believers are “not
appointed…..to wrath, but to obtain salvation
(deliverance) by our Lord Jesus
Christ,” 1 Thess. 5:9.Because we
have this appointment, we are to live daily, “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious
appearing of the great
God and our Savior Jesus Christ,” Titus 2:13.And let me assure every reader, that the Lord’s
promises are true
and faithful.What
He has promised to
His people will come to pass without fail.
“Who
gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from
this present evil
world, according to the will of God and our Father,”
Galatians 1:4.
Therefore,
instead of being
troubled by what we see happening all around us today, spend
your time praying
and praising the Lord, seriously STUDYING His Word, and
witnessing to our lost
loved ones, friends, and neighbors.Our
deliverance preceding the tribulation (time of sorrows)
is certain.But
so is “the
wrath of God” upon those LEFT BEHIND when the rapture
occurs.Believers,
if you have ever intended to
witness to your lost loved ones, friends, and neighbors, DO
IT NOW!Tomorrow
maybe justone
day too late!
