“Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest unto the priest:
And he shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.
And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the Lord.”
Leviticus 23:10-12
“And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering, seven sabbaths shall be complete:
Even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath, shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat [meal] offering unto the Lord.
Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals; they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the first fruits unto the Lord.” Leviticus 23:15-17.
INTRODUCTION
In the past 47 days since Passover, there has been loads of articles, written by true believers who study Bible prophecy, about the coming of the Lord on the Day of Pentecost, just three days from today.
Many of these articles have used the same Scriptures which I have used for this study, to emphasize the coming of our Lord this next Monday; Pentecost, the day after the Christian Lord’s Day.
Is this really going to happen? Well, let’s look at the numbers connected with this event, and readers can draw their own conclusions.
BIBLE NUMBERS
Yes, I have been told (by critics) that the Bible numbers are just man-made fantasy, and some have said they wish I would stop using them in my studies. Are Bible numbers just man-made fantasy? If so, then why did the Lord God inspire Moses to record the Creation Week as Day One, Day Two, Day Three, etc. Folks, Almighty God gave mankind numbers, just as He gave us the rest of His Word.
Through the providence of God, some 68 years ago, I was brought into contact with George Elliott Jones, better known and remembered as Elder G. E. Jones. He had constructed a model of the Tabernacle, using only the Bible as his guide. The ancient Jewish Tabernacle was filled with numbers, so many pieces of this and so many of that, and so many cubits in measurement of the Tabernacle and everything in it. In building this scale model, Bro. Jones noticed that certain things in the Tabernacle: so many boards measuring so many cubits, so many curtains measuring certain lengths, etc. and even the Ark of the Covenant, were all connected with certain doctrinal truths set forth all through God’s Word. This is what the Lord used to reveal to Bro. Jones the meaning of Bible numbers, and he never stopped studying them to the day of his death. Late in life, he wrote an entire book expounding the meanings of the numbers used in God’s Word. I still have a copy of his book in my personal library.
But even better, I had the blessing of studying personally with Bro. Jones for many wonderful hours. He preached revival efforts three times in churches which I was pastoring. I have continued studying Bible numbers across the years, and use them in my studies without apology to any of my critics. Why am I placing such an emphasis on Bible numbers in this study? Well, let’s see…..
THE DAY OF PENTECOST
The Jewish Holy Day of Pentecost this year comes on Monday, May 17th, just three days from today. Now look at the numbers…..
May is the 5th month on our Gentile calendar.
Pentecost is on the 17th day of this month.
Since the year, 2000, every year begins with 20. .
“5” is the Bible number signifying the GRACE OF GOD. Eph 5:8-10.
“17” is the Bible number signifying VICTORY. 1 Cor. 15:57.
“20” is the Bible number signifying REDEMPTION. Luke 21:28.
Now add these three numbers, all set forth in connection with the Day of Pentecost, and the total is 42.
“42” is the Bible number signifying THE COMING OF CHRIST. John 14:3.
Now dear readers, I didn’t invent any of this. All of these numbers are connected with Monday, May 17th; the Day of Pentecost on our Gentile calendar.
But wait a minute! I’m not through…..
On the Jewish calendar, the third month of their year, Sivan, began on May 12th. Then Pentecost comes on May 17th, which is Sivan 6 on the Jewish calendar. So let’s look at the Jewish numbers for Pentecost.
Sivan is the 3rd month on the Jewish calendar.
Pentecost is on the 6th of Sivan.
The Jewish year is 5781.
“3” is the Bible number signifying RAPTURE. 1 Thess 4:13-18.
“6” is the Bible number signifying MAN. Genesis 1:26-27.
“81” is the present year on the Jewish calendar.
Now add these three numbers together, all set forth in connection with Pentecost on the Jewish calendar, and the total is 90.
“90” is the Bible number signifying FREEDOM; TO SET FREE. John 8:32
Dear readers, is it just “coincidence” that the numbers connected with Pentecost on both the Gentile calendar and the Jewish calendar, all point to the rapture occurring on Pentecost, just three days from today? Is this all “coincidence?”
I sure don’t believe it is, and I am looking for my Lord Jesus to appear in the heavens above, sometime this coming Monday; Pentecost, May 17th.
BUT WHY PENTECOST?
Pentecost was the day that the Lord transferred spiritual authority to represent Him on the earth, from apostate Israel to His Church. Significantly, this is the very meaning of the Greek word translated as “church.” The “ekklesia” was a specific group of citizens “called out” from among the inhabitants of a city, for the specific purpose of transacting business on behalf of all the citizens.
It was on the Day of Pentecost as recorded in Acts 2, when spiritual authority to serve as God’s “witness” on the earth, was transferred from Israel to the Lord’s church. I emphasize, this transaction took place on Pentecost.
Then why shouldn’t Pentecost be the day when that spiritual authority is transferred back to Israel again, as the Lord’s church is removed from off the earth by the rapture? Well…??
BUT WHAT IF IT DOESN’T HAPPEN ON PENTECOST?
Then I will keep right on looking for, and living, in expectation of the coming of the Lord. My Lord promised He would come back for His church and believing people, and He will keep His promise, John 14:3.
If the Lord should not come on Pentecost, it won’t be the first time I have been disappointed. I have made mistakes in the past, and still do make mistakes, for even though I have the assurance of salvation, I am still living in a body of flesh with a “sin nature.” I have not yet reached the state of infallibility and perfection, which some of my critics appear to think they have reached.
Folks, it was the inspired Apostle who clearly stated to the Lord’s church, in 1 Thess. 5:4, that “ye, brethren, are not in darkness that that day should overtake you as a thief.” This sounds to me like the Lord intended for His church (His bride) to knowU the day He would come back for her. I am persuaded that day is the Jewish Holy Day of Pentecost, Monday, May 17th. And if this is correct…….
ARE YOU READY? ARE YOU WATCHING? Luke 12:37; 21:36.

Dear readers,
I highly suspect that this will be my last study, for I fully expect to be delivered from this present evil world (Galatians 1:4) on the Day of Pentecost. Please come with me! Please meet me in glory! The Lord God DOES HEAR the humble, sincere, prayer of a repentant sinner, and saves that soul for time and eternity. John 3:16-18; 5:24. Does the reader have the assurance of forgiveness and salvation in Christ?
