Firstly - to disarm their own Israeli soldiers while there is still danger in the air, is downright gobsmacking. There is no logic. No explanation. I found this to be a huge heads-up. The politicians are up to something.
Secondly - the Temple Mount is STILL closed to the Jewish people, yet the Palestinians can access it, willy nilly. COME ON!! Why is this allowed to continue? Why does the Israeli government carry on enforcing this hideous law? It's unspeakably wrong - on every single level. The article in the 2nd link will inform you as to how the tide is turning. Netanyahu needs the ultra Orthodox parties to support him in his bid to remain in power. The alternative would be Yair Lapid pairing up with the arab party of Mansour Abbas. What path will Netanyahu take? The Orthodox have made themselves very, very clear in the article below.
The status quo has to change immediately...or else.
