International "Quds Day" is an annual event held on the last Friday of Ramadan. It was initiated by the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1979. 42 years ago. This year "Quds Day" falls on Friday May 7th, 2021. Please see 2nd link below.

Iran initiated "Quds Day" to express support for the Palestinians and oppose Zionism and Israel. Nominally, it exists in opposition to the Jerusalem Day celebrations instituted by Israel in May 1968. 53 years ago. This year, Jerusalem Day begins on the evening of of Sunday May 9th - ending at sundown on May 10th. Please see 3rd link re Jerusalem Day.


Interesting to note that May 7th is 144 days after the solar eclipse of December 14th, 2020.
