In reply to your 4/25 post called Is This Warning Also Pertinent To Us? at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/apr2021/gino425-7.htm the answer is yes, the warning is pertinent to us believers today.   According to Rev. 2:20-24, Jezebel, the prophetess in the Thyatira Church, was teaching a false doctrine that the believers could commit fornication and eat things sacrificed to idols, and she did not repent so she was going to be cast into great tribulation.  I don't know what great tribulation that she and her followers suffered though. 

There are also churches today whose pastors that are teaching false doctrines, such as, abortion is okay when it is really premediated murder and that homosexuality is okay if two believers are in a committed relationship when the Bible still says that homosexuality is a sin and the members of the church believe these false doctrines.  These are apostate churches teaching false doctrines which the believers have not repented of.  If they don't repent before the rapture, then they will be left behind to face the great tribulation.  How do I know that? They are like the evil servant in Matt. 24:48-51 who is left behind with the hypocrites and the unfaithful servant in Luke 12:45-47 who is left behind with the unbelievers. They are also like the 5 foolish virgins who are not ready for the bridegroom's return in Matthew 25:1-13.   They all will be going through the great tribulation which will give them an opportunity to repent of their sins even though it will cost them their lives if they don't take the mark of the beast nor worship the beast.   I think that "outer darkness" in the following verses is the great spiritual darkness in the great tribulation when the world will be filled a great spiritual darkness because of the anti-christ being in the world and Satan and his angels being cast down to the earth.

Matthew 8:12, "But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

Matthew 25:30 "And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
