"Adding 2028 and 2029 to the Mix"

Hi John, wrote this end times bible study as a birthday present for my dad, thought the Doves might enjoy it as well.

We can calculate the year for the return of our Lord by examining the 50 year cycle of Jubilees.

The Jewish New Year is primarily celebrated on the Feast of Trumpets, the first day of the seventh month.  However, Leviticus 25 verse 9 describes the exception, the last year of the 50 year cycle known as the Jubilee Year.  That New Year’s Day is celebrated on the 10th day of the seventh month, the Day of Atonement.

The book of Ezekiel reveals the date of one of those Jubilee New Year’s Days in Chapter 40, verse 1:

“In the twenty-fifth year of our captivity, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city (Jerusalem) was captured . . .”

By cross referencing the dates of kingly accessions, archaeologists have placed the capture of Jerusalem by the Babylonians into a narrow range of years: either 587 BC or 586 BC.

Let’s start our calculations with the capture of Jerusalem in 587 BC and subtract fourteen years.  That brings us to the first day of the Jubilee New Year, the Day of Atonement in the year 573 BC.  One year later, on the Feast of Trumpets 572 BC, the 50 year cycle was completed.

How many Jubilee periods of 50 years will take us back to the creation?  That’s a tough question to answer because there are as many estimates for the beginning of time as there are bible scholars.

At this point let’s consider the general theory that the earth will be 6,000 years old, or 120 Jubilees, at the time of Christ’s return.  That means that no date before 3980 BC (6000 – 2020) can be considered.

If we then take the maximum number of 50 year periods back to but not exceeding 3980 BC we come to 68 Jubilee periods.

So, starting at 572 BC and subtracting 68 Jubilees (50 years per Jubilee X 68 Jubilees = 3,400 years) we come to the year 3972 BC for the year of creation.

Adding 6,000 years, or 120 Jubilees, to 3972 BC brings us to the year 2028 AD for the return of Jesus Christ and the beginning of his 1000 year reign of peace.

If, however, we take the year of the capture of Jerusalem as 586 BC, then that pushes out the year of our Lord’s return to 2029 AD.

There are lots of assumptions made to complete these calculations and to be sure these numbers are a best guess, not a prophesy.  But I think all of us watchers are aware that our current situation is rushing towards a climax.

All the pieces are in place.  The plagues that will destroy mankind are being created in labs all over the world.  The mark of the beast is being prepared right now in the form of a vaccine with a digital marker.  The building materials for the Third Temple have been procured and only need to be assembled.  All of the priestly implements have been recreated and the priests have been trained.

It is more than conceivable that sometime between now and the end of 2029 the sequence of events we know as the end times will occur.

And for such news all Christians may rejoice, because that includes the return of Jesus for his bride.
