Dear Bro Paul, Others... the last sentence from your post indicates that the author believed their salvation depended on their works here in this lifequote:" IF these were not sufficiently pure and good to form a part of this life, then we ourselves may not enter."
This is false theology!!! Our salvation is based on Romans ch10:9-13...that whosoever believes on Jesus and confesses Him is saved... We are rewarded in heaven for our good works, and we loose rewards for our bad works... however our salvation is assured once we are saved...Our path to heaven is summerized in these three ""Justification, Sanctification then gloryification"By trusting in Jesus we are Justified, our sins are forgiven... During our walk as a believer we are "Santified, becoming more like Jesus... Once in heaven we are GlorifiedLewis B
