Is it possible, that in the context of:

John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

That the following scripture:

II Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Might possibly allow us, only in Christ, to experience a little of that?

That only when we abide in Jesus, when we are in fellowship with him, when we are walking in the Spirit, when our affections are set on things above,

and when we by faith believe that we are somehow already made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

that he may allow us, by faith, to at least a little, experience short times as more than sufficiently long enough, and also long waits as a wisp of vapor?
