In light of the corona virus, there has been a lot more talk about the blessed hope, which is good.

First, the following is what "I think" are the main views on the timing of the blessed hope:

Pre-trib believe that the blessed hope happens before the tribulation:

traditional pre-trib believe that the tribulation is 7 years, with the tribulation fulfilling Daniel's 70th week,

and the great tribulation the last 3 1/2 years

some pre-trib believe that the tribulation is 3 1/2 years, that Jesus' earthly ministry fulfilled the 1st half of the 70th week

both groups believe that the blessed hope will come before the tribulation starts

Mid-trib believe that the tribulation is 7 years, with the seals and trumpets during the first half

then at the 7th trumpet, which they believe is the last trump, marks the beginning of the great tribulation,

but is also the timing of the blessed hope, according to them

Pre-wrath believe that the blessed hope happens before the wrath of God is poured out with the vials,

not the same as mid-trib, as I think many pre-wrath believe this happens closer to the end of the tribulation

Post-trib believe that the blessed hope happens after the tribulation completes, at the second advent

I was taught, and stayed with, the pre-trib view

Relating to the corona virus outbreak, pretribulationists put this in the beginning of sorrows, before the blessed hope & tribulation

I guess mid-trib, pre-wrath, and post-trib could consider the corona outbreak as possibly within the beginning of the tribulation

To do so, I think that they would have to hold the following:

The corona virus has swept across the entire earth, from east to west, decimating and shutting down nations as it went

That the corona virus was able to do what Napoleon, Hitler, Genghis Khan could not, topple all nations great and small

That the rider on the first horse:

Revelation 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow;

and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

That the crown is "corona", the virus, and he conquers the planet without any arrows (without a shot).

I think that would be a thin stretch, for sure, unless they say that the red horse follows because of, and in the wake of the 1st horse

I would like to see what they are saying about this virus, at this time

I realize that some post-trib believe that the some seals and trumpets have happened already, e.g. Chernobyl, etc.

Does anyone on FiveDoves know how the mid-trib, pre-wrath, & post-trib folks are considering the corona virus outbreak?
