Second Passover (Pesach Sheni), Hezekiah and 2020

(Second Passover 2020  Thursday 7 and Friday 8 May)

There is a very good You Tube titled Hezekiah’s Second Passover and Warnings of Seven that is available on the www.hiswordheals.com website (select videos on the Menu and scroll down (quite a long way).  The direct link to the You Tube is below.  This You Tube looks at Hezekiah’s Second Passover but also details a timeline from the Blood Moons to the times we are in.  It is very well presented, albeit around 48 minutes in length.  Two of the verses highlighted are Isaiah 26 v 20, 21 (NKJV below)

(20)  Come, my people, enter your chambers,
And shut your doors behind you;
Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment,
Until the indignation is past.
21 For behold, the Lord comes out of His place
To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity;
The earth will also disclose her blood,
And will no more cover her slain.

Second Passover:  A Date to Watch in 2020 and 2022

Second Passover 2020 is now just a few days away and is certainly a date to watch.  I aim in this letter to give background on the Second Passover, look at Hezekiah’s delayed Passover (on the date of Second Passover), note how unique 2020 Passover  was and look ahead to 2022 when Second Passover is on Saturday 14 May and Sunday 15 May (Israel’s Independence Day on the Gentile calendar).  The Scriptures that detail the inauguration of the Second Passover (Numbers 9) and Hezekiah’s Passover (2 Chronicles 29 and 30 are summarised at the end of the letter.

Passover in 2020 was unlike any other, at least for a very long time.  It could not be celebrated with extended families and any assemblies or  ceremonies were severely curtailed.  It is unlikely that it will be different for the coming Second Passover.  What is interesting about Hezekiah’s celebration is that it involved the whole nation, whereas Second Passover was inaugurated mainly for those who were not able to celebrate Passover, due to contact with corpses or being away (distance).

Second Passover in 2022:   A New and Final Exodus?

It is remarkable that Second Passover on Saturday 14 May and Sunday 15 May  in 2022 falls exactly on the 74th anniversary of Israel as a nation (born miraculously on 14, 15 May 1948)!!  For the prophecies about Israel in the seven years time of Jacob’s Trouble to be fulfilled, there would need to be another (and final) Exodus of Jews to Israel.  The United States, and New York in particular, would be affected.   Isaiah11: 11 ,12 are very important but there are other references to Israel’s Return in the Scriptures.  Could 14, 15 May 2022 signal this end time Exodus!!

Isaiah 11  (11)  It shall come to pass in that day, That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time, to recover the remnant of His people who are left,  From Assyria and Egypt, from Pathros and Cush, from Elam and Shinar, from Hamath and the islands of the sea.

12 He will set up a banner for the nations, And will assemble the outcasts of Israel,
And gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

Inauguration of the Second Passover (Numbers 9)

(Passover)  Now the Lord spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying: Let the children of Israel keep the Passover at its appointed time. On the fourteenth day of this month, at twilight, you shall keep it at its appointed time.

6 (Second Passover)  Now there were certain men who were defiled by a human corpse, so that they could not keep the Passover on that day; and they came before Moses and Aaron that day. And those men said to him, “We became defiled by a human corpse. Why are we kept from presenting the offering of the Lord at its appointed time among the children of Israel?”

And Moses said to them, “Stand still, that I may hear what the Lord will command concerning you.”  Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 10 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘If anyone of you or your posterity is unclean because of a corpse, or is far away on a journey, he may still keep the Lord’s Passover. 11 On the fourteenth day of the second month, at twilight.

Hezekiah  Celebration of Passover on the Date for Second Passover

 (2 Chronicles chapters 29 and 30 key verses only NKJV)

(Chapter 29)  Hezekiah Reigns in Judah  29 Hezekiah became king when he was twenty-five years old, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father David had done.

Hezekiah Cleanses the Temple

15 And they gathered their brethren, sanctified themselves, and went according to the commandment of the king, at the words of the Lord, to cleanse the house of the Lord. 16 Then the priests went into the inner part of the house of the Lord to cleanse it, and brought out all the debris that they found in the temple of the Lord.

17 Now they began to sanctify on the first day of the first month, and on the eighth day of the month they came to the vestibule of the Lord. So they sanctified the house of the Lord in eight days, and on the sixteenth day of the first month they finished.

Hezekiah Restores Temple Worship

So the service of the house of the Lord was set in order. 36 Then Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced that God had prepared the people, since the events took place so suddenly.

(Chapter 30)  Hezekiah Keeps the Passover

Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and also wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the Lord at Jerusalem, to keep the Passover to the Lord God of Israel. For the king and his leaders and all the assembly in Jerusalem had agreed to keep the Passover in the SECOND MONTH. For they could not keep it at the regular time, because a sufficient number of priests had not consecrated themselves, nor had the people gathered together at Jerusalem.

15 Then they slaughtered the Passover lambs on the fourteenth day of the second month. The priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought the burnt offerings to the house of the Lord.  “May the good Lord provide atonement for everyone 19 who prepares his heart to seek God, the Lord God of his fathers, though he is not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.” 20 And the Lord listened to Hezekiah and healed the people.

21 So the children of Israel who were present at Jerusalem kept the Feast of Unleavened Bread seven days with great gladness; and the Levites and the priests praised the Lord day by day, singing to the Lord, accompanied by loud instruments. 22 And Hezekiah gave encouragement to all the Levites who taught the good knowledge of the Lord; and they ate throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings and making confession to the Lord God of their fathers.

23 Then the whole assembly agreed to keep the feast another seven days, and they kept it another seven days with gladness.  25 The whole assembly of Judah rejoiced, also the priests and Levites, all the assembly that came from Israel, the sojourners.

26 So there was great joy in Jerusalem, for since the time of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel, there had been nothing like this in Jerusalem!!!!
