"Revisiting that ol' subject:  pets in the rapture?"

By 1 Cor 10:31

Lovey Dovies:  I KNOW there are many other pet lovers out there!

My husband & I absolutely ADORE our “T.J.”!!   Incredible medium-sized dog.  He came to us at a time when our hearts were tender (and heartbroken) after we’d lost our other dog (tragically, as she had a stroke).  She had been like a daughter to us!  [ref: 2 Samuel 12:3  The lamb was like a daughter to him.]

TJ was rehomed.  It’s UNBELIEVABLE how people would allow such a GREAT dog to slip through their hands though & rehome him!!!!

He bounded into our lives at a time when we needed him!  He needed us!  PERFECT FIT!!

Now he’s 11; wasn’t sure he was going to make it as the last year was tumultuous with a cascade of health issues!!

And there’ve been times it’s taken patience of steel to deal with the old age situation, the ongoing health challenges.  Yet, when you set out to love a dog, it’s just like loving a human in that you promise to be there & to take care!  ~~ of that very soul God placed in your hands.

Rev. 5 is clear that there ARE animals in heaven!!

But whether or not they actually get raptured with us??  I don’t know!  Is that just wishful thinking?  In hoping beyond hope they do?  We don’t want them to befall into bad men’s hands!!!  Who would do something very cruel to them.

It is my heartfelt prayer in hoping the Lord will respond favorably – of course from my human standpoint I HOPE our dog goes with us!!!!

If that’s not the way the Lord intended it to be though, then I hope TJ dies QUIETLY during the night right before the rapture.  I’d rather this than to be cruelly tortured by someone.

Of course, when they leave us, no matter how they go, you know how it is:  they steal big chunks of our hearts!!!!!   I mean I’ve seriously wondered if it might throw me into a real depression.  We are together 24/7.  He is my one constant friend, always nearby, always loyal.

But I will accept the Lord’s will whatever it is.

I certainly HOPE the Lord will allow them in the rapture!

If not, take heart, because I believe we will see them again in heaven when the time is right.

Amen!
