Dear John and Doves,As a new Believer years ago , I knew very little about the Blood of Jesus Christ.Since then I have learned-- mainly from the Book of Romans and the Book of Hebrews---that the Blood that Jesus shed at His crucifixion on Calvary,Atones, justifies, sanctifies, glorifies, purifies, protects, heals, and Delivers, among other things.I would not want to be without it, so I ask for it every morning.
The Passover account in Exodus 12:7 + 13 + 22 + 23,reveal to us the originsof this atoning and protecting Blood, that was sprinkled by hyssop.
David used the word "hyssop" in Psalm 51to refer to Atonementby Messiah's Blood.
Psalm 51 is the Psalm I read when praying for forgiveness.
Psalm 32 is when I receive His forgiveness and move on.
In this article, there are included links to the Hymns about the Blood of Jesus and they became my most meaningful songs. It was a favored theme in Andrae Crouches' Hymns.
A precious insight tells us that when the lance had pierced the side of Jesus on the cross, and then blood and water flowed from Emmanuel's veins,it symbolized the birth of His Bride-Church.
How blest we are to avail ourselves of this rich resource.
