 2 Thessalonians 2:3

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for THAT DAY shall not come , except there come a falling away FIRST, 

 ( and ) that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition."

 

It is easily understood that the "falling away" must come "FIRST" before "that day" can come. The word "and" is usually meant 'in addition to' , but not in this case; it means 'AND THEN' indicating the chronological order of the "falling away" coming first followed by the revealing of the man of sin after "that day". 

 

Proof of this is the clarification Scripture 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8

"...........until he be taken out of the way. AND THEN shall that Wicked be revealed..." 

 

First things first : "a falling away first" - followed by "that day" -  "AND THEN shall that Wicked one  be revealed".

 

The Wicked one (the antichrist is revealed AFTER the rapture.
