     "Fear thou not, O Jacob My servant, saith the Lord:  for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished."

Introduction
     There have been wars between people and nations since the very beginning of human history.  The first case of intense jealousy and hatred, resulting in killing is recorded in God's Word in Genesis 4:1-8.  Then the first actual war recorded in the Scriptures is found in Genesis 14.  
     In those ancient times wars were fought in hand to hand combat with spears, swords, knives, and bows and arrows.  With these primitive weapons, sometimes wars went on for days, weeks, or months, before the fighting ceased.  Hundreds, or even thousands of men were killed by the time the war would cease, with one side or the other declaring total victory.
Modern Warfare
     Such wars have long since ceased.  This isn't the way wars are fought today.  From the time of the First World War, evolutionary scientists [scientists who deny God] began to be brought into the wars between nations.  These evolutionary scientists [Psalm 14:1] have been used by the military powers of the nations,  to figure out how to kill more people with less expense and effort,  without exposing their own fighting men to danger.   
     And to a great extent, these evolutionary scientists have been quite successful.  Thank these evolutionary scientists for developing bombs with explosive warheads, all the way from the primitive bombs dropped in the First World War, to the atomic bombs used in the Second World war, and then on to the nuclear bombs being stockpiled by the nations today.  
     Isn't it just wonderful, that instead of having to engage in hand to hand combat, the nations can now kill a hundred thousand people by  dropping just one single nuclear bomb?  Now that is real progress for mankind, isn't it?  Sick!  
     But if any reader is repulsed by this brief description of mankind's so-called "progress" in the ability to kill, just hang on.  The worst is yet to come!
A "Sign" of The Last Days
     One of the most prominent "signs" of these last days, is one that few people even want to mention; PRIDE.  In 2 Timothy 3:1-2, the inspired Word clearly states, "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
     For [because] men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
     Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good.
     Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
     Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:  from such turn away."  
The Effect of Such Pride
     Due to this "pride," I have had numerous people tell me, even "professing" Chrisian people, that this great nation of America will never be destroyed.  I have heard this over and over again.  They say, "This country has sent out more missionaries than any other country in history.  And this country loves Israel.  Why, God would never destroy this nation."  Emotional ignorance! Total "hogwash!"   Why?  I'm so glad you asked!
     In the first place this nation has never sent out a single missionary.  Every missionary which has left the shores of America to carry the gospel to some other people or nation, was sent out by a Bible believing church with a missionary spirit and zeal.  PERIOD!  The U.S. government has never sent one out yet!
     Second, the Lord God is not overlooking the sins of America, and the American people. Because America was founded on Christian principles, for some 200 years it served as the moral example for the nations of the world.   But in 1973 all of that changed, when the U.S. Supreme Court "legalized" the cold blooded, premeditated, murder of the innocent unborn.  Then the Supreme Court followed up that wicked decision in 1978, by "legaliizing" homosexuality, and ultimately homosexual marriage.  More embracing of that which is a moral abomination to God.  Read Leviticus 18 and 20.  And the American people meekly and weakly accepted both of these SCOTUS decisions.  
     Because the Lord God knows what is going on in the hearts of men and nations, He has declared "the end from the beginning," Isaiah 46:10.  And what does He have to say about America in His Word?
      Just exactly what our text Scripture for this study says.  In speaking to and about Israel, the Lord God said,  ".....I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee...."
      Dear readers, there are more Jews living on the East Coast of America, and in and around New York City today, than are presently living in the nation of Israel.  And some think America is going to wallow in sin and outright wickedness, and still survive as a nation?  Such people must have misplaced their intelligence, and really don't believe God's Word.  This once great nation of America is going to cease to exist, and likely die a horrible death!  And how is this going to happen?  
Possibly From the Effects of an EMP.....
     I cannot say for certain how America will cease to exist as a nation.  But it will!  And in this study I am only setting forth a possibility.....
     America, in turning away from the Lord God of the Bible, has sowed the seeds of it's own destruction.  Now quite a number of years back, it was discovered that the explosion of a nuclear bomb in the atmosphere above the earth could create an electomagnetic pulse that would literally fry all electrical wiring on the surface of the earth below the explosion.  This includes not only the electrical grid system, that supplies electrical power to homes and businesses, but includes anything that operates by electric power; TV's, refrigerators, and even automobiles, etc.  These brilliant evolutionary scientists have confirmed this truth over and over in their experiments.  Even to the point of warning our government and military officials, that.....
     If such a nuclear bomb was exploded some 200 miles up in space over the middle of this nation, it would wipe out the entire electrical grid system of the United States, from coast to coast, and America would be instantly plunged into the "dark" which existed before electrical power was even perfected.    
The Lord Has Already Sent Us a Warning.....
     Remember Puerto Rico?  The hurricane over a year ago which knocked out all power to the island?  And it was months before the people there had power restored to their homes and businesses.  Remember?    
The Effects of Such an EMP Bomb
     Dear readers, America has plenty of enemies in the world today, and there are some of them which have the capabilities of exploding just such an EMP bomb high in the atmosphere over this country.  If such happens, and the electrical grid of America is totally destroyed, what would be the immediate effect on this nation?  
      It would take years for such a massive electrical grid failure to be replaced all over this nation.   And during that time.......
     There would be no electicity to light or heat the homes and businesses of the Amerian people.  Neither furnaces in the winter, nor air conditioners in the summer would work.  
     All food supplies would quickly be exhausted in the stores!  There would be no replacement of the food supplies, for the companies which process the canned goods and other foods, would not have the electrical power  to continue processing, and the trucks which deliver the food to the stores would not be running to make deliveries.  Millions of people would simply starve to death.  Under such conditions, it is highly possible that some people would resort to "cannabalism" to survive.  Do our readers begin to get the picture?  
     All computer systems would simply cease to function and exist.  If one had an old car that could quickly be repaired and made to run, there would be no way for the service stations to pump the gas to go in it, unless they should somewhere obtain a hand pump.  But even then, once they run out of gas, the gasoline wholesalers would not be able to deliver more.
      All TV, radio, and telephone service would cease.  No communication except face to face by word of mouth.  
     The entire monetary and economic systems would collapse, almost overnight, for it would be impossible for the banks to even open their vaults to get to the money.  All of these things depend on electricity to work.  Among those who, under such conditions, would remain honest people, "bartering" would again become the means of any trade being carried on.  There is no question that crime would soar, with robbing, stealing, and killing on every hand.  Read 2 Timothy 3:1 again, and note the words, "perilous times."  This literally means, "dangerous times."
     Fresh new clothes would become non-existent, for the stores would quickly sell out or be looted, and there would be no more.  It requires electrical power to run those sewing machines where clothing is manufactured.  Is it just "coincidence" that the inspired Word predicts a time during the coming Tribulation period, when people won't have clothes, and will be going stark naked?  You didn't know this, or you don't believe it?  Then read Isaiah 3:5-9, Ezekiel 16:39, and 23:26.
     Even medical care would be horribly effected by an EMP bomb, for many different machines used in the hospitals today, all depend on having electrical power to use them.  Without electrical power, they would become totally useless.   
     I could go on and on pointing out how anything that depends  on electricity to function, simply would become of no use to anyone.  But my readers can surely understand modern man's dependence upon electrical power for nearly everything we do, see, listen to, or drive.
Conclusion
     The EMP bomb is just one more of the terrible judgments which very well may come upon those left behind on the earth when the resurrection and rapture occurs.  The resurrection and rapture of all true believers is now imminent, and the terrible Tribulation period, which will follow the rapture, is staring mankind in the face right now!  The rapture could occur at any minute of any day now.   Does any reader want to risk their life and their soul, thinking that what I have described just won't happen?  The choice is yours!  
     I personally settled the "old account" long ago with my Lord and Savior.  I have the sweet assurance that I am saved, and know where I will spend eternity.  Glory to God!
