"Carol re the 70th week and the Holocaust"

Hi Carol,

We briefly addressed this on Doves and it continues to niggle and nag at me. Thank you for bringing it up again. Our fellow Dove, Gino, did some research and found that the Holocaust did indeed last around 3.5 years. Like you, Gino and I both agreed that this cannot have zero significance. What increases the incredible significance of this horror was that it enabled the Jewish people back into the Holy Land after 1,878 years in exile (after 70 AD when the Romans destroyed Jerusalem). The sheer horror of the Holocaust - where Almighty God turned His face away from His people and allowed them to be persecuted without mercy - was the ticket to opening the doors back into their promised land. The Jewish people had obviously paid a price owed to Almighty God, for their transgressions. A huge price.

Almighty God tells us in Revelation that He is going to cut those days short (tribulation days). He doesn't say how but it is my belief that those days have been cut short by the 3.5 years already paid during the Holocaust. Hence, the emphasis on 3.5 years, 1,260 days or 42 months within the Book of Revelation. While the typology has some Christians looking to a 7 year tribulation after the Rapture - perhaps those 7 years have been cut in half (cut short)  by the 3.5 years that have already been paid. We are not told specifically. The Holocaust is not spoken of in scripture - specifically. But - the Holocaust was a huge deal. A massive deal that has affected human history forever. It was genocide - butchery on steroids. It simply cannot be ignored as unimportant to prophecy.

Let's not forget the purpose for the Great Tribulation. It is to bring the world back to our Creator God. He desires that none are lost. Our modern day prophet, Natan, told us of the message he received from Heaven. Jesus, our Messiah, is coming very soon. Israel will be attacked by all the worlds armies - who are currently there in Syria and surrounding Israel. A certain number of Jewish people will escape and be protected. The others will be killed. Once the 144,000 have been sealed and the huge amount of people appear in Heaven (Revelation 7:9) world-wide judgement begins. God has now dealt with the Christians and the Jewish people........... it's the entire world that suffers judgement thereafter.

Scripture tells us that unless "those days" were cut short - no flesh would be saved. If we are faithful and trust in what Revelation is telling us PLUS all the other end-time prophecies about the end of days, we will know that the Jews are the first nation in the line of fire at the start of the end of days. We - who have washed our sins clean by the redeeming blood of The Lamb - are snatched out of harms way.

I believe "those days" have been cut short by the heavy price the Jewish people paid in the Holocaust. Otherwise - there is no other explanation for it. No meaning to it. This cannot be the case.

Apologies for going on an extended blather. I so often find that writing to Doves is also a way of clarifying things in my own head. A "note to self" if you will.

Blessings to you, Carol and all the Doves.
