IRNA – An emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) opened late Thursday in Istanbul to explore recent developments in Palestine and protest the Zionist regime’s crimes in Gaza and relocation US embassy to Holy Quds.
The two-day meeting will be held at the three senior experts, foreign ministers and leaders of the Islamic states.
Senior experts meeting was held today where representatives of the Islamic states drafted statement of foreign ministers meeting slated for tomorrow.
Some 40 Muslim states have voiced readiness to take part in the foreign ministers meeting.
Leaders of OIC member states will convene in Istanbul on Friday evening to condemn the Zionist regime’s recent crimes and relocation of US embassy to Quds.

Speaker's Advisor: Palestinian Resistance Not to Allow US Embassy Relocation Last Long
TEHRAN (FNA)- Advisor to the Iranian Parliament Speaker Hossein Amir Abdollahian blasted the US for relocating its embassy from Tel Aviv to the Holy Qods, and said that Palestinians' defiance and resistance will not allow Washington's diplomatic mission to last long.
"Under such circumstances, resistance of Palestinian people will not allow the survival of the US Embassy in the Holy Qods," Amir Abdollahian said.
The senior advisor, meantime, said that the destructive role of the US and some of its allies in financing terrorist groups is the main source of insecurity and instability in the region.
Following the US provocative move in relocating its embassy from Tel Aviv to Quds tens of thousands of Palestinians protested the move that were suppressed brutally by the Israeli forces. At least 62 Palestinians were killed and some 2,700 others injured by live fire or other lethal means.
The extraordinary session of OIC on Palestine, Israeli crimes in Gaza and relocation of the US embassy relocation will be held on Friday in the presence of high-ranking officials from more than 40 countries in Istanbul. Thirteen heads of states will participate in the meeting.
