"How to get a photo of Planet 'X' near the Moon between 6-9 May, 2017"

If you have a Infrared Camera  you should be able to see it between 7:45-8:45 pm. You should get better results than March 9 or April 8 as it has moved 31 Million miles closer to perihelion and should be somewhat larger. If you don’t get it on your camera on the May 6 continue through May 10, someone of the many amateur astromers around the world will again ‘capture’ it.
