John 5:24; Truly, truly, I say to you, he who HEARS MY WORDS, and BELIEVES Him who sent Me, has eternal life.
Romans 10:17; So faith comes by HEARING, and HEARING by the WORD of Christ.
Ephesians 1:13; In Him, you also, after LISTENING to the MESSAGE of TRUTH, the GOSPEL of your SALVATION - having also BELIEVED, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise.

The JEWS are the SEEING people. The Sons of Israel WITNESSED ALMIGHTY WONDERS that God visually displayed for belief in His existence and sovereign control of the universe and men’s fate. The JEWS SAW the ten plagues; the Exodus, the parting of the Red Sea, the destruction of their enemies, manna from heaven, water from a rock, God’s presence on Mt. Siani, the walls of Jericho falling, Joshua’s long day, … the list goes on.
The theme of the Jews being the SEERS of Scripture continues in the New Testament. The JEWS were EYEWITNESSES to the miracle of the Eternal God, Jesus the Christ, PHYSICALLY MANIFESTED and dwelling among them. Jesus DEMONSTRATED MIRACLES in their presence for their belief in God.
Their JEWS fundamental nature is to SEE in order to BELIEVE in God, yet they are blinded to the truth.
Matthew 15:16; And the PHARISEES and SADDUCEES came up, and testing Him asked to SHOW them a SIGN from heaven.
John 6:30 & 36; They said therefore to Him, “What then do you do for a SIGN, that we may SEE, and BELIEVE you? What WORK do you do?” ... “But I said to you, that you have SEEN ME, and yet do you not BELIEVE.”
Mark 15:31-32: the CHIEF PRIESTS also, along with the SCRIBES ... saying ..“Let Christ, the King of Israel, now come down from the cross, so that we may SEE and BELIEVE.
