I Chronicles 5 begins speaking about the two tribes and an half that dwelt in the East Bank.It started with the most southern most, Reuben, then moved up to Gad.Finally it ended up in Bashan with the half tribe of Manasseh. When speaking about Reuben, it said:
I Chronicles 5:9 And eastward he inhabited unto the entering in of the wilderness from the river Euphrates: because their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.
It said "eastward" and "from the river Euphrates".On one of the supplied maps, in the back of the Bible, it showed the extent of economic control under Solomon. That showed it going up north-northeast of the top of Bashan up to the Euphrates, at about 60 miles southeast of Aleppo. However, line 9 says eastward, not from Manasseh, but from Reuben. That would have been a lot farther distance to the Euphrates. That would have gone across eastern Jordan, the top of Saudi Arabia, and through western Iraq.
Is that was is spoken of in I Chronicles 5:9?
Anyway, Israel is going to get back, not only the West Bank of Jordan, but also the East Bank, as well. How far east does the future East Bank of Israel extend?
