And so we face the final curtain. After trying to do everything "Our Way " (apologies to the author of "My Way") we have to admit defeat. Recognise that, at the end of it all, only Almighty God can make it right. We cannot force the leaders of Israel to turn to Almighty God and tell the rest of the world to sod off. This is way out of our power and influence. We cannot make the USA, UK, EU, China, Russia Japan etc., ensure the safety and security of Israel. We cannot make the Islamist's change their wretched minds either. Everything ..... everything, is out of our hands. We can only pray and wait patiently for our LORD Jesus.

Only Almighty God can change things. Our prayers have influenced things in the past but we cannot change the inevitability of it all. It has become so tiring and stressful. Depressing and draining. I can't remember the exact scripture, but God did tell Israel that if they returned to Him, the ghastliness didn't have to happen. Jesus would have returned sooner and the redemption would not be painful. We are now left with this mess. A world riddled with unbelievers. An Israel who keeps prostituting herself to the earthly powers that be, for her safety, instead of trusting in Almighty God.

We can pray our hearts out. And it is good that we do. We must never, ever stop. But our prayers must focus on the end now. Not for some magical revival. It ain't going to happen. Yes - our LORD gave us choices and still does. BUT - the end is in print. Has been for thousands of years. In our Bibles. God knew that the end would have to be painful. In order to bring everything into harmony with Him.

The LORD knows that we have little strength now. Little power. Little influence. It's a bad old world we live in.
