"Clare DuBois - Prophetess or Occult Medium?"

Doves,

I too, like Carl, have followed Clare for some time and watched her videos. I too believe that the experience the 15 Year Old Jewish boy, Natan, had was from God. Many things that Clare says are true. Some are not. Just realize that if you take a glass that is 99% pure clean water and put 1% botulism in it, the whole thing becomes a deadly poison. Satan's master plan of deception has ALWAYS been to mix a little bit of truth in with a WHOLE lot of error. From the beginning, in the Garden of Eden, he did this when he seduced Eve into disobeying God. I believe there are times that Clare receives some revelations, but is she acting as a "medium" and is the Christ she speaks of the same Jesus of the Christian Bible, or another Jesus? She rarely tells her listeners to READ their BIBLES! Instead, she is giving them HER MESSAGE every day that she claims she gets from visits by her Jesus. Your Bible should be your final authority. We should not need extra-biblical revelation, nor should we be relying on it!!! It is an easy way to be deceived! Remember that evil spirits have been around for eons and they have a lot of information that they can relay, some truth, but a lot of error. Remember that several times Jesus warned against DECEPTION in the last days, saying that MANY would be deceived. Clare was once in the New Age movement. Per her testimony, she came out of it and now if she isn't sure she is hearing from Jesus or a seducing spirit, she goes and asks her husband, Ezekial, and he tells her whether or not her message is from Jesus or not. She always believes him, because after all, being her husband, he is her "covering", so he is her protection from error, right? That's her fallback.  She admits that a couple of times, she was hearing from an evil spirit, so why would she not just chuck the whole thing right then and there? Well, she didn't.  Just because Clare was deceived ONCE, that does not mean she can't be deceived AGAIN and she doesn't seem to think that she can be. She feels that since she's already been deceived, she would recognize if spirits tried it again, but the devil's tactics always change if needed. Plus, she never considers that her husband could be deceived as well.  While I do not doubt some of what she says in her messages - e.g. warning sinners to repent and turn to God (the devil usually does not want people to repent! or turn to God, and that we are on the cusp of the great tribulation). I too believe there will be no great revival before the rapture. But I've always believed that, even before I ever heard of Clare DuBois.  Jesus said that things would get worse and worse before his return, not better and better. Having said all that, there are quite a few  things Clare has brought up that sent up warning flags in my spirit. There are many, but I will list a few of them here for you to prayerfully consider:

  • In several videos when "Jesus" is talking to her, he refers to the church as "My brides". No where in scripture is the body of Christ EVER called "Brides" plural. We are ONE in Christ. We are ONE with Christ. We are bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. He has ONE BODY!  He does not have MANY BRIDES - he has ONE.
  • Clare asks people to pray what she refers to as The Divine Mercy Chaplet Prayer, and says that she got it from a very good CATHOLIC source. As soon as she said that, my first reaction was eeeEEEKK!  You can read about it on her website. I'm not giving all the details here for sake of time.  This "chaplet" has the Our Father prayer and a couple others, including (what I find offensive) is the Hail Mary prayer that is said on Catholic rosaries. I am not against the Our Father prayer that Jesus taught his disciples. However, Clare encourages people to pray this chaplet so that Jesus will have mercy on the world and hold back his wrath a little longer giving more people time to be saved. The Bible tells us NO WHERE to worship or pray to Mary, or to say rosaries, which are occultic and worthless. She admits on her website that she is more interested in bringing people together than in doctrinal differences. Well, I am sorry, but it is DOCTRINE (and correct DOCTRINE) that determines whether you are lost or saved! There is a BIG difference between the DOCTRINE of the Mormons and the DOCTRINE of Bible Believing Christians! If you have wrong DOCTRINE, it will send you to hell!
  • Part of this prayer is that she tells people to say many, many times a day, "Jesus I trust in You," which reminds me of a mantra. We are not to say repetitious prayers like the heathen do believing that we will be heard for our much speaking. God knows what we have need of before we even ask him!
  • The messages from Clare's "Jesus" sometimes contradict each other. You can listen to one from six months ago and a more recent one and they will contradict each other.  Here is an example of what I mean - in one message, he will be dressed in black, somber, waltzing with her (and she will be in a black evening gown) and he is mourning over what is inevitable and what he must do (meaning bringing on the Time of Jacob's Trouble). He asks her to comfort him and to have his brides comfort him because he is so grief-stricken over what must eventually take place. At times he is weeping. I asked her once. Why does Jesus need us here on earth to "comfort him?" There are MILLIONS of born-again believers already in heaven that are part of his Bride that could "comfort him" and besides that - Jesus himself sent the HOLY SPIRIT and referred to him in the Gospel of John as the COMFORTER!  He sent the Comforter to comfort the Bride! Why would he need the Bride (brides? as she calls them) to comfort him?  He'll say things to her like, "stay with me my brides" and tells Clare not even to do what she feels are essential things like spring cleaning because it will take her away from her "Jesus". Then a few months later, you will see her speak of her Jesus dressed all in white and gold trim, waltzing with her and she's in a lovely white wedding gown trimmed in gold, and her "Jesus" is very excited about the soon to be marriage taking place (which we know as the Marriage of the Lamb). This time, her Jesus is filled with joy in anticipation of the wedding.
  • Why would Jesus be grief-stricken about bringing an end to sin and evil in this world, when the entire Bible points to his wonderful 1000 year reign in peace and righteousness? The 2nd to last verse in the last book of the Bible (Revelation) is a statement from the apostle John...."even so, come, Lord Jesus" Rev 22:20. John wants him to come back. MOST Christians in the world are waiting and hoping for the rapture to take place soon.  WHY would Clare's Jesus be shrinking away from returning to finally put an end to the evil and carnage in this world, especially when the Bible tells us that He is waiting to make Jerusalem a praise in all the earth and we are to "give him no rest" until he does! (Isa 62:7).  Now, it's pretty clear that Jerusalem is NOT a praise in all the earth right now. The whole world HATES HER! Thousands of people get up every single morning in the middle east and hunker down with plots and ideas on how they can go out that day and kill the most Jews at one time!  If God tells us that we are to give him NO REST until he makes Jerusalem a PRAISE in all the earth - don't you think he MEANT THAT?!!!! And the only time that Jerusalem becomes a PRAISE in all the earth is during the Millennial reign of the Lord Jesus Christ when the King of Glory is finally ruling the nations with a rod of iron from his throne in JERUSALEM!!!!! So NOT wanting Jesus to return IS UNSCRIPTURAL, folks!  We are to PRAY for his return and the final restoration and peace of Jerusalem!
  • I can understand Jesus' heartache and sorrow about millions and millions of people being lost and going to hell during the 70th week of Daniel, but Jesus does not want ANY to perish, not then and not now and not in the past 6000 years either! Nor in the future, but they will. People send themselves to hell by their rejection of him! If Jesus let this world go on another 500 years, another billion or two of people would still refuse the gospel and go to hell.  Bill Wiese spoke of Jesus' heartbreak when he saw sinners falling into hell. I still have unsaved loved ones. I have prayed over them, fasted over them, cried over them, witnessed to them countless times. Many times, I have received angry responses or no response at all.  Yet, I don't want Jesus to postpone his coming another 40 years in the hopes that they MIGHT get saved, because they may never get saved!  And can you imagine what this world will be like in another 40 years if it is as bad as it is today? Look how much it has deteriorated in just the last FIVE years, folks! In just the last TWO YEARS!!!!! I don't know about the rest of you, but I feel like Lot at times - my soul is DAILY VEXED with the evil that is going on in this world and is INCREASING every day!  I WANT Jesus to return more than anything in the world, and if you truly LOVE HIM, I believe you do too! Many a time, a person's heart for God can be determined by this one thing - HOW much they want him to come back, or do they really care? Or could they care less if it is today, tomorrow or 20 years away---or maybe never? Are you anxiously awaiting your betrothed with every day that passes, or are you more interested in the latest Kardashian episode or Nascar race? How worldly are you, really? Are you simply passing through or clinging to every brick and piece of furniture in that house of yours and that new car in the driveway? Or hoping Jesus waits until you have your first grand child?
  • Clare has made many predictions, none of which have happened yet, unless it is something that the Bible has already predicted, such as sin growing exponentially in these last days.  A lot of what she speaks of makes sense IF she is sometimes hearing from demonic beings - things like alien creatures working in the middle of the earth (which is where hell is) to create hybrid and vile creatures.  And most people already know that CERN is evil and is unleashing evil upon this earth. A great deal of what she "reveals" is already well known. Most people already know that the illuminati have built deep underground military bunkers or bases (they call them D.U.M.B.s), to ride out the worst of what is coming while the rest of us poor saps on the surface suffer the wrath of the Lamb. However, if you are saved, you don't have to worry about the wrath of the Lamb or the 7 years of Jacob's Trouble!  Nor be a "poor sap" like the NWO hopes you will be. You can look forward to the rapture, the glorious return of Jesus for his bride!
  • Personally, I like Clare and Ezekial. They are both talented singers, they play musical instruments, they help the poor and needy Indians in Taos, New Mexico. I think their music has a "New Age" sound to it, but much of their music is worship songs about Jesus.
  • You can watch Clare's videos and decide for yourself. As a Christian (if you are one) better use some discernment. Ask yourself this - what would Paul the Apostle have to say about her "readings?" Some of her "date nights" with her Jesus are more fleshly and carnal than spiritual, in my own personal opinion.  Some sound so sweet and tender, just like you would want to hear, but don't you think it rather odd that all these readings given to Clare are slanted toward the feminine side? Toward women? Especially when the true Bride of Christ is composed of MALE and FEMALE. Where is the appeal to the men? There was one episode where Ezekial was ice-skating with the Lord, so I suppose that was one exception to the waltzing in the grand ballrooms. Like I said, decide for yourself. I was raised Catholic and I have no intention of returning to occultic rosary beads and prayers to Mary after the Lord Jesus Christ saved me out of that system of Baal worship! And I don't like endless mantras of saying, "Jesus I trust in You," over and over and over and over again 200 or 300 times a day. That isn't prayer. That's repetitious mantras. And you can say that 300 times a day, but if you've never TRUSTED in him as your own personal Savior and believed the gospel, you aren't saved.
