"Iyar 16: Manna Anniversary Day and The Messiah / Christ As Bread of Life"

The theme of manna is significant in the Scriptures, between the Book of Exodus and the Book of Revelation. There are 16 quotes about manna. Here is a fascinating coincidence. The date on Scriptural / Jewish history when the manna began to come down from Heaven was Iyar 16, month 2 and day 16 of the Spiritual Year for Israel, begun at Nisan, also called Abib or Aviv. Manna from the Hebrew means "what is it" and the Messiah asked the apostles about who they  thought he was. Mysterious food from heaven and the mysterious man from heaven. Manna was white, like coriander seed. The taste? Like wafers with honey, a form of Unleavened Bread. An omer of manna was to be kept and displayed in the tent of meeting, the portable tabernacle in the wilderness, for many generations. Bible Gateway has a great reference resource, go there type in manna and NASB (New American Standard Bible) to read the 16 references  for manna and see in contexts. Like Psalm 78:24. "He rained down manna upon them to eat. And gave them food from heaven."

In John 6: 30-32 the Messiah is asked for a sign and his work is doubted. He answers those of questions and unfaith. "Truly, truly, I say to you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven." Then is deeper revelation in John 6:48-50. "I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die." Earlier in John 5: 25-29 Christ speaks of the Resurrection. Versus 28-29. "Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and will come forth, those who did good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment." The Resurrection of the righteous in Messiah, in Christ, is before us.

The logical conclusion of the barley harvest annually can be linked to the symbolic date of The Second Passover at Iyar 14. Some believe we are just before Sivan 6 Pentecost (Shavuot) at 5-14 to 15-2016 with Nisan begun in March with the First Passover. Barley was mature for harvest by later March in 2016 in Israel, by later April it was over ripe. A firstfruit offering for the Feast of Firstfruits would not remain in the fields for another month! The harvest would be over, overripe, grains of barley falling off the stalks in the fields, and the crop lost.

So on the earlier calendar, Pentecost is near on May 14 to 15. Add 9 days to get to Sivan 15 at May 23 to 24. On the later calendar, adding Adar II, we are near the date of Iyar 16 as of May 23 to 24, from a Monday to a Tuesday. Tuesday evening begins day 4 of the Scriptural Week, the midst of the menorah position of the 7 pronged menorah. The Book of Revelation tells that the Messiah is standing in the midst of the 7 pronged menorah in the throne room of Heaven. Iyar 18 is the 33rd day of the Counting of the Omer, a day of rejoicing for the tribes of Israel, on May 25 to 26.

Just before the door to heaven is opened at Revelation 3:1 as promised to the Philadelphians,at 2:17 is the PROMISE to him who overcomes. "To him who overcomes, to him I will give some of the hidden manna..." Again we have the linkage of manna and MYSTERY. Paul wrote. "Behold. I show you a mystery" concerning The Blessed Hope. Are all these things linked to May 23 to 24, Iyar 16 in 2016? Also, some scholars believe that the Flood during the Days of Noah was at Iyar 17, not Cheshvan 17 in Autumn. If so, we are nearing the Noah anniversary dates of month 2, days 10 to 17. The living bread from heaven may reign down and take His bride and family home very soon. Come quickly, Lord...
