"RE: James Norman - "If you have any experience with"

Greetings,

This is a response to James Norman's letter from 25 Apr 2011 entitled,
"If you have experience with the Abrahamic Covenant I need your help"

I know that the letter is five years old, but in some ways the internet is timeless (and so is God!), I just recently came across the letter and upon reading it I simply had to respond. If you can also please forward this message to his e-mail address to ensure delivery.

Dear Mr. Turner,
I am writing to you because I recently came across your letter, and your emotion and raw honesty struck accord with me. I know full well what it is like to need healing from God, and to be led around with the "dangling carrot" from most Christian denominations today.

Having struggled with cancer and an incurable blood disease, I was quite literally on my deathbed, and searching for answers. I too came across many of the same catch-phrases, buzzwords and methods which you describe, telling people that they need to do step 1, then 2, then 3, and then "maybe" God will answer... or that sometimes the answer is "no" or "wait". However when you are in the ICU of a hospital waiting to die, those answers simply aren't good enough. They also do not coincide with the examples given in scripture. When I read about the healings in the Bible, I never saw Jesus tell someone to wait, nor did I ever see Him tell someone "no." when they came to Him for healing.

So I came to the realization that I am now sharing with you: "Man complicates what God has made simple!"

If God truly is God, He knows the limits of our understanding, and He knows that we will never understand it all. He knows that He is infinite and we are not. So He has made the way simple -- but man delights in complicating and convoluting the simple message of the Gospel... and that includes healing as well.

How this bit of truth helps you, is the same way that it has helped me... please do not waste your time trying to connect all the dots of the covenants or try to "better understand God" -- the people who were healed by Jesus Himself never did that! You never see Jesus say to anyone "Now before I heal you, I need to have you better understand Abraham and the covenant I cut with him and how this relates to both Israel and the Gentiles."

No my friend, the people who came to Him simply understood one thing: that He is willing, able and ready to heal them.. and then what did He tell them? "Be whole", "Be healed", "Be clean" -- there were no steps, no commands, no waiting periods or queue lines. There was no separation between them and their Savior. God loves you so much that He made that kind of relationship possible. And your healing is there.

This is the truth of the Gospel of Christ. It is SIMPLE because God designed it that way, so that even a child can understand.
I pray this letter finds you well, and that this truth helps you to see your Savior and Healer more clearly.

God has indeed healed me of all my sicknesses and diseases (which are documented), and He did so in the simplest way possible. My showing me the simple truth of a Jesus, willing to heal me. The same Jesus willing to heal you as well.
