H I G H / L O W

If you want to be HIGH later (with HIM ) you must go LOW now.  What is meant
by going LOW?  Death is LOW wouldn't you say ?  Can't get much LOWER than
that.  So we have to die ?  Yes !  The person we are at the time we accept the
LORD as our SAVIOR, MUST DIE unto himself.  We are defined by what we value.
What we value is directly responsible for the choices we make. Your life, here on
Earth, is but ASH. The ONLY thing that has an ETERNAL significance is your
RELATIONSHIP with JESUS. HE told the RICH GUY to sell ALL that he has and give
It to the poor and come and Follow HIM.  This chap was a good and law abiding
Jew, who otherwise would be among the Best of Men of that day, yet was told to
Rid himself of ALL that made him important in that community.  Sadly, he couldn't
bring himself to do it.  He placed too high of value on his Wealth.  His Wealth is what
defined him among his peers and gave him his standing.  Apparently the dropping
of one's standing in the community of that day was just as difficult to endure as the
dropping in the community of today is.  (another one of JESUS'S timeless parables)
So we have to DROP ourselves in our Social Standing among friends, family, and
community?  Yes !  But it is them that DROPS US.  When "they" now view us having
EXITED their World, it scares them. (on many levels)  When they see us in this NEW
position, they want NO PART of what was responsible for our "Fall".  This makes
convincing them of the "RIGHTNESS" of our decision very difficult to JUSTIFY to
them and certainly doesn't help our Witnessing to them either.  This is why we need
the HOLY SPIRIT to come to us and GUIDE and COMFORT us.  JESUS knew this
was what we would have to go through for HIS sake. (and ours) This is why it is
SO IMPORTANT to HEAR HIS VOICE.  Without it, it would be almost impossible to
bear the change in our lives brought about by our TOTAL COMMITMENT to HIM.
It is indeed a NARROW ROAD we now must walk.  We NEED the HOLY SPIRIT to
walk with us to Reach the Crown that is waiting for us at the end of the Road.
I sincerely feel that without HIM, NONE would finish the Race.  So hearing HIM is
CRITICAL to our Goal.  SEEK HIS VOICE !    You're gonna need it !
