A DAY'S PAY FOR A DAY'S WORK

When JESUS brought up the example of an employer who hired some workmen
at the beginning of a workday and then hired a few more workers near the end of
the day and then paid all of them the same, (much to the consternation of the men
hired at the beginning of the day) what was HIS POINT of this Parable ? Have you
ever wondered about this? If this happened today, can you imagine the "grousing"
that it would bring about ?  Especially if it was a "Union" job !  The guys that worked
ALL DAY would actually come to resent the short term guys and the employer as 
well.  Their reaction would be understood and pretty much agreed with by almost
everyone in today's World as it would also had the same effect in JESUS' day, so
the Parable has stood the test of time as it Still evokes the same reaction today. (I love how HIS parables are "timeless")  Ok, so what is the "Meaning" of this
Example?  For the answer we can look to the Thief on the Cross.  I would say that
He came "on board" rather late, wouldn't you?  Talk about your "buzzer beater"!
So what can we, as Watchers, take from this Parable? Well, as we WAIT for HIM,
we can still Witness for HIM right up to the Very Last Second, knowing that those
who accept HIS GIFT, even at the "Eleventh Hour" will be SAVED even tho' they
haven't walked in HIS WORD at all during their lifetime until the "last moment".
They are Still granted Eternal Salvation. We "Lifers" should be overjoyed at HIS
MERCY concerning our new brothers and sisters and continue in our efforts to
Spread the Gospel while we wait for HIM thereby making GOOD USE of our Time
that remains. This is obviously a better way of "waiting" than pacing the floor in
our anxious anticipation. I know, speaking for myself, the hours are seeming to drag
by in these last moments and time tends to "fly by" when we're busy, so becoming
"Busy" witnessing, would be the best use of what little time remains that I can think
of...how about you?  Are you still "talking" HIM UP to any and all the H.S. directs you to?
SEEK HIS VOICE and HE will direct you to those still waiting to hear from YOU.........       .......ABOUT HIM !      It is .....URGENT.....as so little time remains. Let's go get these last
folks so they can be with us and HIM forever and ever.  Remember,  HE LOVES those yet
to come, just as much as HE LOVES you and me !  Let's not disappoint our LORD by not
reaching out to those yet to hear from us about HIM......IT"S  A  WIN  WIN  !
