Dear Vernon,

I thank you so much for your two beautiful essays in FD Letters dd 17/05/15

They really were a blessing !

Your “two dogs” was right on the “soft”  spot, and is or should be a daily reality for every living Christian.

I feel that the “black” old dog also is carrying a lot of (lower nature) conditioning with him/her.

By that I mean that so many things in our life have become frozen habits and are hard to overcome by ourselves but in my experience if that old human part isn`t treated too harshly it often will obey voluntary (like a dog who wants to serve also).

Ofcourse I am talking here of the conditioned part and not of being lenient towards evil or sin.  Sin is sin and is not to be called otherwise.  Like Jesus was gentle on our weaknesses and always offered an exit (be healed and sin no more)

but firm and unyielding on any demonic (inspired) activity.

And I always remember Jesus took our weight of sin, and it brings me to tears time and again, when I realize that He carried them out of LOVE for us to Golgotha. Thereby granting us the victory over sin, if we accept His sacrifice and grasp His outreached Hand.

And your “Jephta” letter relieved me of a seemingly ” non-solvable dilemma” which had been a painful issue for years as I want to take Gods word 100% seriously

and a consumed human sacrifice was not even thinkable for me.

It was so contrary to everything I have been blessed to experience from our sweet Lord & God !

And now finally one (you!) explained it from the Hebrew and immediately I felt this painful weight lift off me. Your vision about what really happened proved true for me.

I cannot thank the Holy Spirit and you( for contributing this inspired letter) enough for that.

Keep posting !

Your Brother In Christ
