"Awestruck"

Awestruck

Early this morning I was wakened from a dream around 3AM.  It was so powerful it  left me awestruck, even until this hour...1PM! So I want to invite you to read on, and share the experience.
  !
I was in Malaysia, where I have traveled and ministered to  many places in that lovely country.  The people there are very kind, and caring...especially Christians.  Even living in a predominately Muslim setting. they are extremely devoted to the Lord and work hard and under hardship to carry the Gospel to everyone around them.

In this dream, I was visiting a certain church in Kuala Lumpur.  A man had brought me there.  I did not recognize him, nor did I know his name.  But I remember he had lots of white hair and was also dressed in white.

After leaving me with the pastor, he went off into another room.  I found myself doing some writing on my computer. in the pastor’s office.  Suddenly, I heard the most beautiful music I ever heard. The pastor heard it too, and went and turned up the volume to where it flowed into every part of that church, upstairs and down and each office where his staff was at work.  All the workers stopped what they were doing and were listening, just as awesturck as we were. It was not a normal sound of music--it permeated every part of each one of us, like we were consumed with it and were lifted into a powerful dimension of Jesus' love.  None of us could even move, it was such an experience. This is the best I can describe it.

Then I awoke.

Something awesome is about to happen, I believe.  We are surrounded with God's ministering angels, and though we experience all the difficulties in this life on earth, we also can partake of glorious experiences in the reality of His presence that is always with us.

I wrote the pastor a letter describing it all to him.  And then I lay in my bed basking it what all had happened.  I believe this is the interpretation of this dream:

"His presence is always with us, and the more we "turn up the volume", the more we are absorbed into its
powerful ability to melt away every fear and every tear, surrounding us with a "joy unspeakable and full of
glory".  When that happens, prison doors swing open and chains fall off us, just as they did for Paul and
Silas and others.  We are then  free once again---not to return to the cold deafness we may have had to
endure as prisoners to this world system, but to walk and partake of those promised "heavenly places with
Christ Jesus our Lord”----every moment of every day.

Talk about the Lord being "a shield around us"!  Whenever this event happened, I felt imobilized in it.  Nothing could touch me nor harm me---I felt encased beyond the lure of worldly things.  They had no seductive power to cause me to stumble or walk in fear.

And to realize, all that I must do is to "turn up the volume", and to hear just a sampling of heaven's glorious sounds.

He speaks and the sound of his voice is so sweet
The birds hush their singing
And the melody that he gave to me
Within my heart is ringing.

And he walks with me and he talks with me
And he tells me I am his own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known.
