the Nicolaitians  are those bishops like in todays Caholic church who lord it over the Laity, the ordinary people in the church...

These false prideful leaders claim power over men in direct opposition to Scripture, putting themselves in the place of GOD...

The Popes repeatedly said  they alone speak for GOD, as has the present Pope... That His word comes before the Bible...
