"Re: “Exaggerations of Enoch”"

Regarding “Exaggerations of Enoch”:  There were two Enoch’s in Scripture: one was descended from Adam, he was the 7th, and the other was descended from Cain.

Cain built a city and named it after his son [Unuk].  I refer to them as Enoch I and Enoch II.

Enoch the 7th from Adam was caught up to Heaven and wrote many books: He lived exactly 365 years.  He was born in the year 622 AM and died in the year 987 AM.  I don’t use the BC years as they vary with the author.

Jared was his father and Methusaleh was his son. Lamech was his son and Noah was his son.  There were 2 Lamechs and one was a descendant of Cain.

1.    Jared

2.    Enoch

3.    Methusaleh

4.    Lamech

5.    Noah

Jubilees 4:17-18 “Enoch was the first one from among the children of men that are born on the earth to learn writing and knowledge and wisdom. And he wrote the signs of heaven.”

This Enoch, the son of Jared, is the one that Jude quotes in Scripture.

May God bless your reading of Scripture and the extra biblical as well, jfh
