"Mary E Adams"

So beautifully put .....and so apt. I have been watching all the documentaries pertaining to both world wars and the harshness of the human existence, at that time, is hard to comprehend. One gent, recently passed, addressed a classroom of little students about the conditions of that time (their little eyes were round with awe and interest) and he made a profound statement. They knew no better. Everyone was in the same boat. Hungry, cold and afraid. There was no envy or jealousy because they were restricted to their own world view - theirs and their neighbours. Everyone suffered grief, loss and deprivation.

We are a spoiled generation and it shows up in so many spiteful ways. Indeed - the love of many has certainly grown cold.

Thank you for such a beautiful and timely post.
