"Luke 21:36"
Greetings John and Doves,
I see my regular Dr. Friday to get
cleared for surgery and will let everyone know of a scheduled date. I'm
praying and hoping for significant shrinkage of the tumor to allow me
another 30 days. Please agree with me in this.
Now for the important part of this
E-mail. Sometime in the last year or two I did a study on Luke 21:36 and
discovered a nugget. In the Strongs there are about 5 different
meanings for the word "pray" The most common used in the New Testament
is Strongs # 4336 and the most rare one is Strongs # 1189 and I'll list
them in order with the most used to the least.
g4336 pray to God, worship
g2065 to request, to ask, to beseech
g3870 to call near, to invite
g2172 to wish
g1189 to beg
This final G1189 was enlightening as it not only used just a few times but means to beg. Now insert the original Greek into
Luk 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and BEG always, that ye may be
accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and
to stand before the Son of man.
The English meaning of the word beg is to :
beg
beɡ/
verb
verb: beg; 3rd person present: begs; past tense: begged; past participle: begged; gerund or present participle: begging
1.
ask (someone) earnestly or humbly for something.
"I begged him for mercy"
This should relay the importance of this Scripture in these final hours.
God Bless this group of seven. On a side note I told everyone yesterday
that satan couldn't help it in his vanity to arrange for American
Pharaoh to win and even though he was the favorite, the favorite seldom
wins in the Ky Derby. I'm sure also this horse # 18 ( 6+6+6) will be the
first triple crown winner since 1978. If I'm wrong I'll eat my humble
pie<[:o)
