Charles thank you. You are exactly right. I have tried to tell others what has been convicted in me. They say they believe in Jesus and glaze over the fact there is said God calls many (salvation) He chooses few. Those that draw near do so because He convicts them to they become Hungary for the word and turn away from the TV. Then the word invokes fear the beginning of wisdom as they see there is more to salvation then belief. The salvation is belief acted upon and professed. Sanctification is a choosing by God a conviction to a race as Paul stated run the race. Those who are granted by God the power to become sons of God and enabled to use it buy Gold tried with Fire, eye salve to see, and are granted that white robe. The endurance is running the race. It involves turning off tv and picking up the word and praying for the truth. As you said draw near to God He will draw near to you.

Nothing is being taught anymore about sanctification, salvation is John 3:16 that's it have a donut. It's so much more. True we cannot save ourselves and the gift of God is the ability to believe and receive the Attonement. But most half let's say stop at the start gate. This is the fear knowledge imports the beginning of wisdom that we have to pick up our cross and run the race. The fact is we can only do this through the power Jesus gives us.

They study hard in school maybe work hard maybe play hard maybe and don't want to separate from the world.but u till you actually read the word with a spirit of truth you cannot see. They believe they are ok it will all pan out. They watch the morning shows not read the days verse. They say be quiet.
