Fay -- Saviour UK spelling? Not so. I'm 77. I was educated with all those strange "U's" in peculiar places. Now I note with displeasure that they are disappearing, even though the dictionaries do note "alternative spelling". I stand with the Queen, asking, "Where have all the "U's" gone?" and curse my spelling checker which has the effrontery to tag my "U" inclusive words as misspellings. Every book I've read published say, pre-1980, give or take, uses "U" spelling. The missing "U's" are a manifestation of the NWO plot to dumb us down:-)
