In your Enoch piece you quote Mat 22:30 as "
They neither marry or are given in marriage... Like the angels..."
The complete quotation is: "For
in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but
are as the angels of God in heaven." Gerlinda's response http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/may2015/gerlinda510.htm
didn't pick up on this, but I regard it as key. Jesus was referring to
the "unfallen" angels, not those who left their first estate and took
daughters of men as wives and produced offspring. I do not regard Enoch
as missing Scripture. I do think Genesis is crystal clear that fallen
angels did cohabit with women and produce offspring.
In your thoughtful reply http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/may2015/pastorbob510-5.htm
to me regarding Alexander Hamilton and other matters, you criticize my
use of Wikipedia, I concur. I generally do not use Wiki as a source when
I'm doing serious research. However, Hamilton's biography is widely
available from many sources. I remember reading it when I was in high
school. My criticism of Judge Dale's flagrant historical errors stands.
I
have great respect for your writings and enjoy them immensely. When I
disagree, I try to do so agreeably, as, I might add, you do with me.
