"RE:Gino:Time, Times and Half - 70 Weeks - Philip B"

Gino and everyone,

Thank you Brother! All Glory goes to the Lord Jesus for this study certainly not me!

I have been studying this for the last 5 years and partially teaching this position for the last 2. I have never put this study down in writing but feel led by the Spirit to do so now. The study was provided just as I received it from the Lord.

Eusebius' primary goal was to put down in writing an authoritative History of the early Church. He rarely wrote directly on Doctrine or Prophetic Interpretation save certain areas where he would quote the early Church Fathers.

I quote Eusebius' work to illustrate the historical accuracy of the length of Jesus' ministy. This is scripturally provided in Luke 3:2.

Josephus in "the Antiquities of the Jews" also gives us the same timing of the length of the High Priests in Book 18 Chapter 2 Section 2 verses 34 - 35

However, I can display that there were certain of the early Church Fathers that understood the scripturally correct position of the latter half of Daniel's 70th Week.

Therefore, we domonstrate that Christ came withing the sixty-two and one-half weeks.
Tertullian "Ante-Nicene Fathers" Volume 3 pg. 159

By showing "the number of the years, and the time of the sixty-two and one-half completed weeks," we have proved that Christ came. That is, He was born at the time predicted.
Tertullian "Ante-Nicene Fathers" Volume 3 pg. 168

The following is another illustration that the "Time, Times and a Half" was as yet the only unfulfilled time frame and was associated with the reign of the Man of Sin:

He whom Daniel foretells would have dominion for a time, and times, and an half, is even already at the door. He is about to speak blasphemous and daring things against the Most High.
Justin Martyr "Ante-Nicene Fathers" Volume 1 pg. 210 (writing about 160AD)

Also of note, is that any scholar who uses Josephus or others who rely on the Ptolemaic sources for the length of Kings reigns will be in error in the calculation of the going forth of the Commandment to restore and rebuild Jerusalem. This is where the commonly found date of 445-444 B.C. for Artaxerxes 20th year originates.

Floyd Jones **EXHAUSTIVELY** investigates these errors and deals with all approaches to this timeline. Anyone who is interested in the Scholarly & Biblically correct investigation should purchase his work referenced in my study.

May the Grace and Peace of our Lord Jesus be with you all!
Philip
