"Dave Watchman"
Hello Dave:
In reply to your request, I used for my April 18th post a printed Hebrew
Bible of the Masoretic text. The Masoretic text is the basis for
the KJV Bible and I believe the E-Sword software contains it.
I have most of the computer Bible software programs including
E-Sword. My first purchase was Hermenutika back In 1995.
Today it is offered or sold under the name of Bible Works 9.0. I
use the 6.0 and 7.0 version, not a lot of difference. It is the
professional scholar/professor level those teaching Greek and Hebrew.
I recommend to you checking out the "Blue Letter Bible" on the
Internet. It is a free software Bible study Bible that is every
bit as good as the professional Hermenutika Bible software. It is
FREE to use and easy to use.
Bible Works sells at discount - $359.00 at CBD (Christian Book
Distributors). List price runs around $500. I'm retired and
have little discretionary funds so I have to restrict what I
purchase. Each update, in my opinion, has not justified the cost
to upgrade. The "Blue Letter Bible" was recently upgraded into an
improved format and has so much available to those with limited
budgets. I bought my Hermenutika when I was doing my Doctoral
studies. Because I taught at a Bible college and served a church
at the same time I felt very comfortable using the BLB. My
congregations that I have served never were interested in deep serious
Bible study, regretfully this is the case for most denomination
churches.
But I actually use the "Blue Letter Bible" more than I use any of my
other loaded software. For the serious Bible student, I would
highly recommend the BLB.
