Doves:
I just want to re-iterate Gary Rich's excellent points he made
about the imporance of sharing the Gospel in his letter dated 5/4.
Funny - he used the same verse (confirmation that it is a very
important message from the Lord) a friend of mine and I read and
discussed recently before heading out on an evangelistic outreach
mission:
"As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, and bring glad tidings of good things!” (Romans 10:14-15)
Brethren, keep in mind, not too many people are out there trying to win souls for Christ!
There are plenty of opportunities for you and me to preach the Gospel.
Also, remember, you may
hand a witnessing tract to someone or share the Gospel orally, but the
Holy Spirit is working on their hearts, too! So, you are not alone and
remember anytime you share God's Word with anyone, "It shall not return
to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper
in the thing for which I sent it " (Isa. 55:11).
Also, let's look at the eternal rewards for people who lead many to salvation:
Daniel 12:3 says, "Those
who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those
who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever. "
I truly love to discuss
Eschatology and the End Times things... And I have seen a lot of folks
at seminaries, in academic circles, even in Bible discussion group and
apologetics conferences caught up in a lot of seemingly good things.
But unless it's in His will it does not mean a whole lot! So, let's not
get too wrapped up in it! Yes, let's all look actively for His
coming...And I think right now, in my mind, taking into consideration,
the Lunar Tetrad that will take place in 2014-15 and the experience I
had when the Lord told me back in 2008 of His coming soon, I am not
looking at being here past 2017. So, that gives me maybe 3 and a half
more years to share the Gospel and try point others to the Lord Jesus.
So, Remember Christ's first mandate is the Great Commission!
Let's preach the Word in season and out of season! (2 Tim. 4:2)
Maranatha!
