Thank you for that, well done!  And for the information on Henry Ford as well.

May I suggest that one reason why there is probably a predominance of ancient Jewish genes in the groups studied (as to whether they were of ancient origin)?
This could be because most of these studies were done on the male genes.  I believe that in history, where there are "mixed marriages" it is more likely that Jewish male will marry a gentile female than vice-versa.  The maternal haplogroup genes of these Jewish families could have had more variety.

And I would like to chime in to say that scripture does show Jesus as a Jewish man, doing Jewish things.  Those who claim he was not Jewish are wrong...but he, too, was of mixed ancestry, particularly on the maternal side (Rehab, Ruth).  I believe God probably arranged Jesus' ancestry to include these gentile women who converted, as a model for the rest of us who are grafted in.
