Yes, the Orthodox churches with which we are familiar celebrate Pascha Resurrection Day on May 5 this year. Next Sunday.
The date of the Western Church celebrating Ascension Day is May 9. For Orthodox it is June 13, according to online information.
I am attracted to Orthodox dates, because I like their Christmas (Epiphany) on January 6, which seems the right time for it, not that December 25 isn't a good day too. All days are the Lord's. The Orthodox celebrate every Sunday as mini-Resurrection feasts, as the Resurrection is their primary focus in the whole year long.
But some smaller Christian groups, such as "other" Orthodox churches in smaller countries, have days varying from the above. To me this means that all of these days have meaning to us in remembering the life of the Lord. They are not necessarily Rapture days, even if they are of high significance in remembrance--unless the Lord does make them significant even more by bringing home His saints on one of those days. Praying with you, Friedrich, for His coming.
