To The Doves
In the Ukrainian Greek Orthodox faith, it stressed over and over that as Christians we are called to pray for one and another, and for those who have yet to receive Jesus Christ. On this past Sunday as I was driving home after the Divine Liturgy, I went the Jehovah's Witnesses temple and reflected upon the number of cars parked outside. I would guess that there were at least 10x, if not more, people there. The parking lot was jammed full, and those inside were being deceived. I have tried witnessing to them when they show up at the door, but it is as if they are under a spell. They may use the name "Jesus", but their "Jesus" died on a stake, not a cross, and he is just a god. To be precise, their "Jesus" is the Archangel Michael.
We may not be able to change them, but we can pray for them.
Yesterday two Mormon ministers, two young boys, arrived at my door to introduce me to The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints: they prefer to use that name instead as opposed to "Mormons". As I started to explain their own doctrine that God The Father, is from the planet Kolob, they tried to make a hasty exit. I did manage to keep them for a few minutes longer and used their own Bible to show them that in fact Jesus is G-d, and part of The Holy Trinity. They were not converted but they were certainly confused that I knew all of their doctrine, their Temple Secrets, and how their own scripture contradicts itself. They call themselves Christians, but they do not accept that Jesus Christ is LORD.
I reflected upon these two encounters, and wondered about the meaning. All that I could do is pray. We cannot change people, but we can pray for them, and we can pray for one another.
As many of you know, over a year ago I setup a site called the Apostolic Tradition Forum. To be clear, this NOT a Catholic forum. It is not an Orthodox forum. It contains Catholic content, but that content is there to be discussed not presented as truth. With less than 75 members, and little to no activity, the purpose of the forum is being lost. The forum is based on the 5 pillars of Christianity that we all hold in common.
Paul's post of May 14th is one of prayer, and that is what I am asking for. If you could say a prayer in the Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, that he may grant me the wisdom to minister to the lost, those who reject The Trinity, I would feel blessed. If you could pray also for the lost, may you be blessed in Christ's Holy Name.
As for a call, I ask for nothing more than sharing the URL of the site with anyone you may think would be interested in helping with this ministry to reach out to those who are lost, deceived, and perhaps confused.
In particular, I would like to reach to Latin Rite Roman Catholics to help inform them that The Latin Rite, The Vatican, and the sole authority of The Papacy is is only a PART of The Roman Catholic Church, but it is the part that is slowly consuming all of the other rites. Pope Paul in the early 1960's exclaimed that "The smoke of Satan has entered The Vatican". I am not going to pass judgment on the current Pope, for Judgement is The Lord's alone. I will however share my belief that The Latin Rite, and The Vatican will play a role in the unfolding of The End Days. I don't know what that part may be, but it is likely to be part of the Great Apostasy.
