"FYI..."

Hello, John and Doves,

For those who are concerned that Israel fleeing to Petra constitutes "exile," consider the following scripture at face value.

It is written,
Who is this coming from Edom, from Bozrah, with his garments stained crimson? Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength? "It is I, proclaiming victory, mighty to save."
Isaiah 63:1  NIV

We know that we know that we know that Eretz Israel will extend to the Euphrates River.

Petra is in western Jordan.  The last time I checked, the ENTIRE country of Jordan is west of the Euphrates.  Jordan is west of Iraq, and the Euphrates runs through the midst of Iraq.

Ergo, Petra is well west of the Euphrates.  Thus, any exile to Petra would simply be out of the present-day boundaries of Israel, yet well within the bounds of Eretz Israel.  Therefore, the double comfort spoken by the LORD through Isaiah holds true today, and will continue to hold true.  Never again will the Jews in Eretz Israel be forced to leave its boundaries as established by God, and revealed through His prophets.
