Gino. You can't afford to be a lukewarm Laodicean and get left behind. You will arrive at heaven in tears on the Day of God's Wrath that way. They will be caught up at the last minute before Satan's asteroid Wormwood hits the Earth.
There is a better way. Stop and think. When you first accepted Christ, all your past sins were forgiven. However, any sins committed since then must be confessed to Christ to bring them under the blood of Christ.
Look at the last line in the following message to the Laodiceans. Those he loves, he rebukes and chastens. Please follow I John 1:9, which I will quote below.
Rev 3:14-19 says, "And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent."
1Jn 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Confess any known sins, and the Lord will wipe away any others you don't remember. If he brings any others to mind, confess them immediately. After that, you have it made. You have washed your robe, and made it white in the blood of the Lamb.
Rev 7:14 says, "These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."
After that, just go by 1John 3:23 and I John 1:9.
1John 3:23 says, "And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another".
1John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Live by those two scriptures, every moment. Jesus lives within you. He knows your thoughts. You don't have to go confess to a priest or any such thing. You are living with Christ every moment.
In John 14:18-20, Jesus said, "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you."
As soon as you slip and sin, confess it to Christ, even if you are in a crowd and have to do it silently, in your mind. Stay confessed up. Your prayer doesn't have to go anywhere. The Lord dwells in you. He knows your thoughts. Just say, "Lord forgive me for (whatever)."
The Lord can come at any time now. Don't delay one minute.
I prayed for you. Don't sleep on it. Please take this to heart. It is not hard to do, and it keeps you safe at every moment. If you don't, you will wish you had.

"RE: Michael Colunga: 05.17.13: Slumbering Laodiceans" “Slumbering Laodiceans”
Michael,
That was horribly convicting.
Of course I always love to think of myself as part of the church in Philadelphia.
However, if I was honest with myself, I’m more likely a part of the church of the Laodiceans.
