"re: ""DELIVERANCE precedes Judgment"""

Ryan:
Regarding the message “DELIVERANCE precedes JUDGMENT".  I believe God does deliver according to his promises.  But what form that deliverance will take.  It still amazes me that many use Lot as an example of the rapture.  Lot is an example of God delivering but not necessarily of the rapture.  God told Lot to remove himself from a city.  The closest thing we have to a rapture is the few cases I am aware of where God translated them from one place to another.   In many ways I don’t know why I bother to argue.  If you are not prepared and there is no rapture you will possibly die for lack of knowledge (lack of knowledge regarding the equipment required to survive).  I suppose I should just be grateful.

Hello Ryan, I know there will be a rapture because of 1Cor 15 and 1Thess 4.
I think you are right that many of the verses used to equal the rapture, are verses of protection and not necessarily the rapture.

1Co 15:51  Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Co 15:52  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,
at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1Co 15:53  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

1Th 4:16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air
: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

God Bless
