I understand what you are saying, it is an important issue

But I think you may be misreading or misunderstanding what is said

 

I can tell you this, some have tasted heaven, I being one

I hated Jesus but then he woke me up

He answered many questions

One thing I can tell you for sure, we are still us in heaven

We will still see hear smell, have feelings and emotions and even have memories.

We will be us.

We will have our same personality, minus the bad

Only the bad stuff will be taken away

So don't jump to conclusions

 

From what I read he is not talking about earning salvation

But that if we realized how we may have wasted our time on earth that we would have lived life differently

 

Jesus says that David was a man after his own heart,

The same could be said of every one of the redeemed

There are parts of our heart that belong to God, God created us

The good things he has put in our heart that is part of our personality will go with us to heaven

We will be individuals in heaven, but only the good will remain, because the good came from God in the first place.

 

We are not talking about being born good or not asking God to forgive us, don't jump the gun here
