Here is some interesting info that came out of examining Ruth (friendship) and Boaz' (quickness) Strong's numbers. Boaz is the Kinsmen Redeemer, and Ruth is the Gentile Bride.
Boaz' Strong's hebrew strong's number = 1162Ruth's hebrew Strong's number = 7327
add the couple together:
1162 + 7327 = 8489
Strong's hebrew 8489 = Temani, meaning "Southward".
In Solomon's temple, there were two pillars at the front door:
1 Kings 7:21"and he set up the pillars in the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called the name thereof Jachin: and he set up the left pillar, and called the name thereof Boaz."
Since the temple faced east, then the Boaz pillar was on the Southside. i.e. Southward.

Genesis 36:34"And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of Temani (8489h) reigned in his stead."

It appears that the South concept has concretely entered the picture, as related to the Lord Jesus' Descent, which is His reuniting with His Bride. see 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. In the Tabernacle, the Lampstand stood on the Southside.
