"For those looking to
Pentecost--the date?"
May 27 is the traditional day this year, on the
Western calendar, and Shavuot on the rabbinical calendars used
today.
However, some Doves and others do believe Pentecost is not
properly assigned a date by these calendars.
Most of these believers look to mid July, I believe, for
Pentecost, including Ila Olori and Eliane B,
who refer us back to another way of calculating Pentecost each
year.
However, Pentecost seems to be one of those "days no one knows",
just as Rosh Hashana is, because of
different calendrical calibrations. Yet it must coincide
with the wheat harvest, and so one must ask, what is the
season of wheat harvest? Probably it goes from late May to
mid July, especially in differing parts of the world.
What are the dates in Israel, where the first Pentecost
occurred?
Sometimes I think calendars will drive me crazy! All of
our days seem to be days no one knows! Confusion
is rife in the Body of Christ. And truly we do not know
the day or the hour. So, praying to the Lord to take us
out of this matrix soon! It's His will which must be
accomplished. Your will be done, Lord, and give us
patience.
