Hi, All... Priscilla, some of your post re prayer, I agree with.  In this dark hour, most churches/individuals are not in prayer as they should be.  I would like to qualify something though.
The Bible talks about all KINDS of prayer... (Eph 6,  James 5,  Phil.4,  1 Peter 4, + many many more) where we speak TO & petition our Great God, YHVH.  “Soaking” prayer may be a new term,
but it seems to me, that our “forefathers in the faith” used it, as “contemplative” prayer (meditation in the Christian sense), LISTENING to God & receiving FROM Him.  Too often these days,
we barrage Heaven with our needs & wants, while we live fast paced, chaotic lives.   Soaking prayer is simply a method, to HEAR from the Lord & get refreshed for the battle.  We need to hear from our
Commander & Chief, & to rest our weary souls/body before Him, & to remind us that the battle is His...  &... JESUS IS VICTOR!
